Divine Love at Sai Prema, Athens, Greece

Dear Friends,

Sai Prema is located just outside of Athens, Greece, close to the edge of the magnificent waters of the Aegean Sea. It basks in the Mediterranean sun and is surrounded by lush countryside.

This fitting home was where the Fifth European Sai Values and Yoga Retreat was held during July 16–25, 2021. Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSSIO) members gathered from five European countries for yoga classes, study of Vedas, and daily nature walks to the beach. The retreat provided an ideal setting for better physical and inner health, and reflections on the teachings of Sathya Sai.

The daily yoga classes were beneficial to all. One lady arrived with knee problems that prevented her from walking unaided but gradually improved such that she could walk briskly up and down the slope that led to the yoga hall.

The Tenth European Sadhana Camp was also held at Sai Prema between July 30 and August 8, 2021, with participants from Austria, France, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. The theme of the event was Happiness is Union with God.

Days were spent in a variety of spiritual pursuits and included various presentations, including the work of the Heart Doctors, a group of Sai devotees who serve around the world. They work with local organisations to provide medical services and help the needy, mostly in remote parts of Africa.

In addition, a presentation was made on natural farming which fosters biodiversity, allows plants and animals to live together, and stops soil erosion, thus creating balance in nature.
