Expanding the Sathya Sai Mission in Asia

During September 5–7, 2025, members of Zone 4 of the SSSIO held their Pre-World Conference in this momentous 100th year of the advent of our beloved Bhagawan at the Ideal Convention Center in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The event drew 800 delegates, including 250 from overseas countries.

Dr. Narendranath Reddy, Chairman of the SSSIO, and Mr. Leonardo Gutter, Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation, provided clear direction and inspirational guidance to the delegates to move the divine mission forward in Asia, with particular regard to five key areas: the importance of reflecting on this historic moment; the need for spiritual rejuvenation; the practical application of values in daily life; organizational growth and outreach; and fostering the community in which the SSSIO exists through shared experiences and collaborative workshops.

The conference began with a spectacular opening ceremony where more than 100 children and Young Adults performed a mesmerizing dance (including a peacock dance and a lion dance) to the accompaniment of a specially curated song for the conference.

The three-day program was filled to the brim with:

  • Inspiring talks and a Q&A session with leaders of the SSSIO
  • An armchair conversation with Dr. Reddy
  • A roundtable discussion on the newly formed Asia Pacific Sathya Sai Institute for Human Values Education
  • An introduction to the E.A.S.E. Program
  • Workshops for all delegates and strategic planning sessions on how the SSSIO can impact society
  • A debate on digital technology and social media
  • Cultural performances and an SSE Convocation Ceremony

More than 40 leaders and members of local NGOs participated, and talks were given by Muslim leaders. In his closing remarks, Dr. Suresh Govind, member of the Prasanthi Council, reminded delegates that in building the vision and mission for the Sathya Sai Mission in Asia, delegates have to “think Zonal and act local.”
