Confetti to being Considerate- Nature Preserve Cleanup: Chicago, IL
On occasion of Earth Day, Sai volunteers from Sri Sathya Sai Centers of Chicagoland helped clean Busse Forest Preserve in Elk Grove Village, IL on April 9, 2022. Volunteers reflected on the use of confetti and their lasting negative impact on the environment, and vowed to avoid the use of confetti during any celebration. Read More

National Refugee Support Spotlight 2022 ~ Summary
A National Refugee Support Spotlight, held virtually on March 5, 2022, was attended by 135 SSSIO members interested in providing refugee support services. A video summary of the key segments of the spotlight is presented- a moving talk by a former refugee from Iraq, a presentation on an inspiring project involving Afghani refugees, an informative session on phases of refugee resettlement and future plans of the SSSIO. The spotlight ended with moderated breakout sessions. Read More
