On January 1, 2021, more than 125 SSSIO volunteers collected over 500 pints of blood at a mega blood donation drive in Mauritius. The Minister of Health and Wellness, Hon. Dr Kailash Jagutpal donated blood and encouraged volunteers to come forward and participate in this selfless service. Each donor received a medicinal/decorative plant and a lunch pack. The event was broadcast on national television during the evening news.
